Fiona's home made Muesli

Fiona Staunton • September 26, 2022

A fantastic breakfast, with a little advance preparation this is a fantastic breakfast to have in the cupboard

Homemade Muesli.

I love it!   Here are some reasons why!

  • So simple, easy to make, nutritious  & tasty!
  • Here’s a thought,  it doesn’t have to be for breakfast only! There are times I’ll have it for lunch or dinner either!
  • it’s a great way to use of the ends of packets of nuts, seeds & dried fruit in your cupboard #zerowaste
  • It keeps for ages!
  • You are in control of what is in it & the quality of the ingredients.

My recipe varies, but here is a guide!

Ingredients - 20 portions

1kg organic jumbo oats

1 cup toasted hazelnuts, coarsely chopped

1 cup sunflower seeds

1 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup ground flax seeds

1/2 cup while flax seeds

1/2 cup chia seeds

3 tbsp ground cinnamon

Method

Mix them all together & store in an airtight container!

I love to serve with extra nutritional seed mix, milk kefir, chia berry compote & if in summertime, fresh berries.

Have it your way!
